BrightStep Privacy Policy
BrightStep is an offline-first educational application. This policy describes the product behavior currently known and identifies release details that must be verified before this page is used as its Google Play privacy policy URL.
Permissions, advertising and analytics SDKs, third-party services, and all collection and transmission paths must be checked against the final release build. This draft does not claim Google Play compliance.
Introduction
BrightStep is developed under ISHA NOVA Labs. by <SKS/>. Its core learning, practice and test functionality is designed to work offline without requiring a login or user account.
Information the app handles
The current first-run student profile includes Student Name, Location, School, Board and Class. An email address may be offered as an optional field for contact or feedback. The exact fields, whether any field is optional, and every use of these details must be confirmed against the final release build before publication.
Local/offline data storage
Core study content is stored locally, and the application is designed to retain the information needed for offline learning, practice and tests on the device. The final release must be reviewed to confirm what student profile, progress, assessment and preference data is stored, where it is stored, and how users can clear it.
Internet usage
BrightStep may check for internet availability at startup. Core study, practice and test functionality should remain available without an internet connection. Any network request, transmitted field, remote endpoint or online feature in the release build requires confirmation before publication.
Advertising
Advertising is intended to appear only when internet access is available and should not block core offline functionality. The advertising provider, SDK behavior, identifiers used, consent requirements and data shared have not yet been confirmed and must be documented after the release build is verified.
Third-party services
No statement is made here about analytics, advertising, crash reporting or other third-party services until the final dependency list and runtime behavior have been reviewed. Any third-party service included in the release build, along with its purpose and privacy policy, must be disclosed before publication.
Permissions
The permissions requested by BrightStep have not yet been verified against the final release build. Every declared and runtime permission, its purpose, and whether it is required or optional must be confirmed and listed here before publication.
Children's privacy / target users
BrightStep is an educational application that may be used by students. Its intended age groups, child-directed status, parental or guardian requirements, and handling of information belonging to children must be determined from the final product configuration and store listing before publication.
Data retention
Retention rules depend on the final implementation of local storage and any verified online services. Before publication, this section must state how long each category of data is retained and how a user or guardian can delete it.
Data security
Appropriate safeguards will depend on the data stored or transmitted by the final release. Storage protection, network security and access controls must be reviewed before specific security claims are published.

This policy may be updated when BrightStep features, data practices, permissions or third-party services change. The Last Updated date below will identify the latest published revision.
